Haymount, a planned community currently under development in Caroline County, Virginia, is located on a 1,650-acre site 50-miles south of Washington, DC. The concept behind Haymount is that of a community designed to be pedestrian friendly utilizing the concept of mixed-use land planning.

Upon completion, the development will consist of some 4000 homes, 250,000 square feet of retail space, 500,000 square feet of commercial and light industrial space, numerous parks, two schools, a college campus and an organic farm. The rest of the property will remain as "green space."
