Using a combination of open trench and directional boring techniques, the utilities were installed through existing residential and commercial neighborhoods with minimal impact upon the residents.  Bury designed and provided construction administration services for the project.

Bury+Partners coordinated construction activities with TxDOT, the City and residents.  By conducting public meetings and through public participation efforts, Bury+Partners kept the residents informed and involved in the project. The project was a cooperative effort between TxDOT and the City of Mart with a 90/10 cost sharing split.

Bury+Partners used experience working with TxDOT and municipalities to provide for close coordination in limited working areas.  This coordination allowed the highway widening project and utility relocation to proceed simultaneously. The 90% grant from TxDOT provided maximum benefit to the residents of Mart.
