Without this tank, the City of Buda would not be able to meet the fire flow demands of the growing city.  By adding this tank to the City's water system, the Cabela's Retail center and other retail entities are able to build and provide economic growth to the City of Buda, something that was once limited by the capabilities of the water system.

A composite tank was selected based on long-term maintenance and construction cost considerations. With a large concrete supporting structure, cost associated with re-coating has been reduced, as compared to an all steel structure. The pedestal section of the new tank also provides dry storage space for the City's Public Works Department. Close coordination between the City, Client and Contractor was maintained in order to coordinate the tank into the City's existing system, to provide for the fire demand needs of the Retail Center, coordinate placement and design of a nationwide recognizable logo and to meet all scheduling needs, construction standards and deadlines.

This project had an expedited construction schedule and the addition of elevated storage capacity to allow for economic growth in the City of Buda while providing water infrastructure solutions to existing residents of the City.
